No Bake Oreo Cheesecake

- No Bake Oreo Cheesecake - This recipe is from  Recipe Rebel Ingredients: 1/4 cup melted butter 50 Oreo cookies (2 300g packages) divided 1/2 cup white chocolate chips 24 oz cream cheese (3 250g/8oz packages) 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar 1 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream Instructions: Crust : Combine melted butter and 1 package of Oreo cookies in a food processor. Process until smooth and starts to stick together. Press into a 9" Springform pan and about 1/2" up the sides. Filling : In a medium bowl, combine white chocolate chips and 1/4 cup cream. Microwave on high in 20 second intervals, stirring well each time, until melted and smooth. Set aside. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. - Cheesecake - This recipe is from  The Recipe Rebel Ingredients: Crust: 2 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted Filling: 3 packages regular cream cheese (8oz each for a total of 24 oz or 750g) 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 1 cup heavy whipping cream What to do: Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a medium bowl. Press into the bottom of the pan and about 1 in up the sides. In a large bowl, beat room temperature cream cheese with an electric or stand mixer until it is smooth.  Add the sugar and vanilla and beat on high until smooth. Add the cream, and beat on low until incorporated, then beat on high until thick and fluffy. Adjust sugar to your tastes if desired. Roasted Cauliflower

- Roasted Cauliflower - This recipe is from a book called ' Syria, recipes from the home '. You will need: 1 large whole cauliflower, chopped into florets Vegetable oil, for roasting Small handful of parsley, chopped Handful of almonds, toasted Salt & pepper, to taste For the dressing: 1 garlic clove 1/4  tsp sea salt 50 ml extra virgin olive oil Juice of  1/2  lemon 1/2   tsp ground cumin Method: Roast the cauliflower florets with a little vegetable oil, salt and pepper for around 30 minutes or until they have turned golden brown. While the cauliflower is cooking, make the dressing by crushing the garlic and salt with a pestle and mortar, adding the olive oil, lemon juice and cumin, and whisk everything together. Pour the dressing on the roasted cauliflower and sprinkle with parsley and almonds to serve.

Ingredients: 140g butter softened 280g icing sugar 2 tbsp milk Method: Put the butter in the bowl and beat until soft.  Sieve in the icing sugar. Add the milk. Stir the mixture until creamy and smooth. Spread on your cake or cupcakes and chill to ensure it remains stiff.

- Peach Cake - This delicious recipe is from  Natasha's Kitchen Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened 1 cup granulated sugar 3 large eggs, room temp 1/2 tsp grated lemon zest 1/4 tsp vanilla extract 4 ripe medium peaches, pitted, peeled and sliced into cubes Method: Heat oven to 350˚F. Grease a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray. 1. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. 2. In a large bowl, beat together butter with sugar until fluffy (4-5 minutes). 3. Beat in the eggs, 1 at a time allowing them to incorporate into the batter before adding the next egg then continue mixing another minute on med/high speed. Once mixture is well blended, beat in fresh lemon zest and vanilla extract. 4. Set your stand mixer to low and beat in your flour mixture just until blended. 5. Bean Sauce

- Bean Sauce - Note: This serves 6 people, to be eaten with rice. Check out our  Easy Rice Recipe ! Ingredients: 1 onion (chopped) 1 can white beans Water Splash of oil 2 heaped spoonfuls of tomato paste 1 stock cube Pinch of turmeric  1/2 tsp cumin 1/2 tsp coriander Method: Fry the diced onion in oil, until soft but not discoloured. Add water - just enough to cover the onion and let it simmer for a few minutes.  Add the tomato paste, cooking it for a while. Then add the stock cube, herbs and spices and salt. Then cover with water until your saucepan is half-full. Let simmer for 10 minutes. Add the beans and - again - simmer until the beans are soft enough and the sauce is done.  Serve and enjoy!

Easy Rice Recipe

- Easy Rice Recipe - A family favourite - this is great for all cultures and backgrounds; everyone loves this recipe! Note: This recipe serves 6 people (with hungry appetites)! Also, add more salt if you are cooking for middle-easterners! I love eating this with beans - check out our recipe here:  Bean Sauce Recipe . Ingredients: 3 cups rice Pinch salt Water Oil (optional) What to do: This is optional, but you can pour oil into a saucepan - just enough to cover the bottom.  Rinse the 3 cups of rice in a sieve. Then, put it in the big saucepan. Add water - a little less than double the rice (so in this case, 5 cups of water) Add a pinch of salt. Bring to the rice to a boil. Turn the heat down to a simmer until the water has gone and rice is soft. This will take approx. 15 minutes. Your rice is done! Spoon out onto plates and enjoy eating!

Easy Falafel

- Easy Falafel - An easy falafel recipe that our family uses all the time - just throw all the ingredients into a food processor and fry! Ingredients: 400g Chickpeas 1 small onion (chopped) 1 garlic clove (chopped) Handful of parsley  A pinch of pepper 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp coriander 2 tbsp sunflower oil 2 tbsp plain flour What to do: Put all these ingredients into a food processor and blend. Pat into pin-pong-sized balls and fry in olive oil. The best part - serve and enjoy! Tip: You can make some dips for your falafel. Here are some ideas: Yogurt and Tahini (add some chopped parsley for some colour and texture) Ranch Dressing (which is basically yogurt and herbs) Hummus, and a sprinkling of parsley (can you tell I like parsley?!)

- Lemon Pancakes -  This recipe is from  All Recipes - Easy Pancakes Ingredients: 1 cup flour 2 tbsp sugar 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 1 egg, beaten 1 cup milk 2 tbsp vegetable oil Method: In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Make a well in the centre, and pour in milk, egg and oil. Mix until smooth. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

- Lemon Pancakes - This recipe is from the  Pioneer Woman Blog What You'll Need: 2 whole  Lemons 2-1/4 cups  2% Milk 1 Tablespoon  Vanilla 3 cups  Flour 1/4 cup  Sugar 2 Tablespoons  Baking Powder 1/4 teaspoon  Salt 2 whole  Eggs, Beaten 1/4 cup  Butter, Melted How to Do it: Zest both lemons. Set aside. Measure the milk and add the juice of 1 1/2 of the lemons. Stir and let sit for 5 minutes, then gently stir in the vanilla. Stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Pour in the milk/lemon mixture, stirring gently. When it's halfway mixed together, stir in the eggs, then the melted butter. Finally, stir in the lemon zest. (If the batter is overly thick at this stage, add up to 1/4 cup milk. Heat an iron skillet over medium heat, then add 2 tablespoons butter. This is a really easy recipe we use all the time - just chuck all the ingredients into a bowl and bake it! Ingredients : 1/2 cup cocoa 2 cups sugar  2 cups flour 1/2 cup oil 1/2 cup yogurt 1 tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla  1/2 tsp soda 1 cup water 2 eggs Bake until done. Then the best part - enjoy eating it!
